My youngest son likes soft materials. While cotton is his favorite, it doesn’t really provide the necessary warmth for winter. This cotton/ wool mixture is a great compromise, soft as cotton but still with the extra warmth of wool.
You can be as adventurous as you like with your color combinations – the larger blocks of solid color help to unify the whole piece.
The cardigan shown is for a boy but by adjusting the colors and the side the summarys fasten (as detailed in pattern) it is truly a unisex pattern. Knit from the bottom up in one piece, this is a fun knit that has lots of tidy knitterly details (I-cord pocket edging and summaryholes and underarm grafting) to make for a great end product.
